Richard C. "Dick" Warner Sr., 81, of Watertown

Dick" Warner Sr., 81, of 140 Boon Street, Watertown, N.Y., passed away at his daughter Nancy's home in Colorado, on April 13, 2018, surrounded by family, under the care of Pikes Peak Hospice of Colorado Springs, CO.Born October 15, 1936 in Watertown N.Y.. Dick was the son of Gerald and Hildred (Weston) Warner. He was educated in the Watertown City School District. He enlisted in the United States Seabees from 1954 - 1958.Dick owned Warner's Business Equipment until he was deployed to Desert Storm. While serving in the Air National Guard, aka The Boys From Syracuse, he was deployed as part of Operation Desert Storm, among other deployments. He retired from The Boys From Syracuse in 1996 after 26 years of service.He was commissioned a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in October 1983. Dick was employed with Fort Drum, retiring in 2011..Dick was a member of the Italian American Civic Association, in which he served as the first non-Italian Club President. He was also a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Northside Improvement League and numerous car clubs. On September 19, 1959 he married Anna F. Vecchio, at St. Anthony's Church, officiated by Msgr. Lynch.Besides his wife Anna, Dick is survived by his children Nancy (Dan) McFadden, Fountain, Co., Richard C. Jr., and his companion Teresa Lynn Miller, Watertown, N.Y., Sarah (Mark) Ferrante, Simpsonville, S.C., his grandchildren:  Andrea, Daniel, Kristen, Oliver, Aiden, Sophia; and a great-granddaughter Iris Blake, also a brother Wayne Warner, sister Patricia Roberts, sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins.He is predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Hildred Warner, in-laws, Jerry and Nancy Vecchio, brothers-in-law, Joseph, Sebastian "Bill", Jerry, and Michael Vecchio, a sister-in-law, Barbara Vecchio, a niece, Andrea Frances, a nephew, Maxwell Rocco.There will be a memorial mass, followed by a burial with full military honors at Glenwood Cemetery in July.
